provider writes, "Zoo officials are pleased to announce the reopening date for the zoo, which has been closed for eight weeks of hurricane recovery efforts. The zoo will be open to the public on December 15, 2005 at 9am just in time for holiday visitors and vacationing students! A special Grand Re-Opening Celebration will be held on Saturday December 17, 2005 from 10am - 4pm. The Palm Beach Zoo at Dreher Park has suffered more extensive structural damage from Hurricane Wilma this year than we did from the hurricanes of 2004. Although we will reopen the zoo in December, funds are being requested to assist our full recovery thru an established Hurricane Relief Fund. We appreciate your continued support. The Palm Beach Zoo at Dreher Park is a private 501 (c)(3) charitable organization.
