| The Marine Life Center |
admin writes, "Years ago, Eleanor Fletcher, known as ‘The Turtle Lady”, had a love of sea and turtles. She began collecting artifacts and displays about the turtles and would invite school children to her home to teach them about these fascinating sea creatures. And so, The Marine Life Center was born! It originally opened as The Children’s Museum of Juno Beach in 1983. The name was changed to The Marinelife Center of Juno Beach in 1990 to more accurately reflect the expanding role as an organization dedicated to the conservation of marine life.
Please remember it is turtle season. If you see a turtle on the beach in the evening hours, please do not try to approach her or disturb her while she digs her nest and lays her eggs. These turtles are an endangered species, and they need all the respect and help we can give them. If you see anyone suspicious around what may be a turtle nest, please report it to the proper authorities."
