Have The Time of Your Mid-Life at The Maltz
writes, "Special Five Show Engagement Makes It’s Florida Premiere

Jupiter, Florida (Sept. 12, 2005) – The Maltz Jupiter Theatre will present the Florida Premiere of the award winning comedy J. J. McColl’s “We’re Still Hot!”The Musical. This acclaimed musical comedy, produced by Entertainment Events Inc. the same people who brought you Late Night Catechism, tells the story of three menopausal women, Marnie - a Fortune 500 president whose current 'toyboy' is twenty-one; Kate - the talented, struggling single mother who's written the revue and Cynthia - the conservative, unsuspecting wife of a philandering executive, who are rehearsing the show about menopause for their 35 year class reunion. They're joined by the flamboyant Zsuzsu – a former star in Hungary, now working as a cleaning woman.
"
As they rehearse their riotous revue the women gradually disclose more about themselves and their lives in poignant songs that reveal the dark shadows of childhood, lost dreams, struggles, and fears about growing old. Helped by the gradually evolved love and friendship of the other women, by the 'stand up and cheer' finale of “We’re Still Hot!” Marnie, Kate, Cynthia and Zsuzsu are hot all right; hot enough to take on the world!

“We’re Still Hot” opens Thursday, September 22 and runs through Sunday, September 25. Showtime’s are at 8 pm with a matinee at 4 pm on Saturday, September 24 and at 2 pm on Sunday the 25th. Tickets are $22 for all shows.

Written by JJ McColl, a veteran of the Canadian Broadcasting Company, based “We’re Still Hot!” on stories she recorded of dozens of women at a series of potluck dinners. “We’re Still Hot!” is directed by Aubrey Shavonn Zappolo and stars Christina Ozcan from Aventura, Florida; Lynne Locher from Tampa, Florida; Megan McKinney and Renn Edwards.

Tickets can be purchased at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Box Office, online at www.jupitertheatre.org or by phone 561-575-2223 or 800-445-1666. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre opened in February, 2004 as a 550-seat, nonprofit community-based professional regional theatre and is a member of the prestigious League of Resident Theatres. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is located at 1001 Indiantown Road and A1A in Jupiter.
