“We decided to present a concert of this magnitude to target a new audience for fundraising and to give the community an affordable evening of great country music,” said Reg Lawrence, SE Conference Chairman 2004-2005, Amara Shrine Center.
The country music band Diamond Rio will headline this year’s event. His hit songs include “No Doubt About It”; “You Gotta Love That”; “They’re Playing Our Song”; and “For A Change.” He was twice voted “Entertainer of the year” by TNN/Music City News Awards and Video of the Year for “Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye.”
Buddy Jewel is the season one winner of the popular USA Network show “Nashville Star.” His breakout hit “Help Pour Out the Rain (Lacey’s Song)” put him on the country charts overnight.
Local country singer Nicole Niles will open the concert.
