FOR THE LOVE OF CHILDREN 5K RUN/WALK
KICKOFF EVENT RAISES FUNDS TO BENEFIT CHILDREN
November 16, 2004 - Last year's event was such a success that the Gold Coast
Guild was excited to get started on this years run/walk plans. In
an effort to make this event even more memorable than last years, the guild
planned a kickoff event that took place on Tuesday, November 9th. Guests
enjoyed donated Appleby's Food, sipped wine, learned about Children’s Home
Society and had fun at the Run/Walk Kickoff Event, held at the Jupiter
Community Center. Although the turnout was smaller than the guild wished for,
it was still a great success. Gold Coast Guild of Children's Home Society held
the kickoff to offer all team captains and other interested parties, the
chance to learn about captain opportunities for the run/walk event that
benefits Children's Home Society as well as to learn about the agency's 15
programs. All the same teams from last year signed up and now the
guild has just added more! Jupiter High School's Katie Leland and
Susan Burns just joined this year's teams for the upcoming run/walk, which
will take place in at Carlin Park in Jupiter on February 12, 2005.
