writes, "TONY® WINNING MUSICAL SMOKEY JOE’S CAFE ROCKS ON TO MALTZ JUPITER THEATRE STAGE

Jupiter, FL – (January 8, 2008) - Hold on to your dancin’ shoes as Smokey Joe’s Cafe rocks its way into the Maltz Jupiter Theatre January 22 through February 10. Smokey Joe’s Cafe is non-stop fun, excitement and the best rock and roll ever recorded from the 50’s and 60’s featuring the hit songs of Leiber and Stoller. Most will remember these classic songs as recorded by Elvis Presley, The Coasters and the Drifters among others.
"
Smokey Joe's Café, opened on Broadway in 1995 where it ran for five years to become the longest-running musical revue in the history of Broadway. The show was awarded the 1995 Grammy® for Best Musical Show Album and was honored with nominations for seven Tony® Awards. Over the years there have been three major national tours, breaking box office records at numerous performing arts centers. The success of this show is in no way limited to the American audience. It played to international audiences in all over the world.

Directed by Bill Castellino and masterfully choreographed by Joshua Bergasse, the production at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre will be nothing short of spectacular and will have audience members dancing in the aisles with such Leiber and Stoller hits as “Hound Dog,” Love Potion No.#9,” “Jailhouse Rock” and “Yakety Yak.”

Smokey Joe’s Cafe, underwritten by Christina and James Embrescia, opens on Tuesday, January 22 and runs through Sunday, February 10. Showtimes are Tuesday through Friday at 7:30 pm; Saturday at 8 pm; Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm. Tickets are $35 to $55 and are available at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Box Office, online at www.jupitertheatre.org or by phone 561-575-2223 or 800-445-1666. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre opened in February 2004 as a 550-seat, nonprofit community-based regional theater in the former Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre.
