| Jane Monheit Kicks Off New Jazz Series at the Maltz |
|
admin writes, "The Maltz Jupiter Theatre is proud to announce an all new collaboration with the Jazz Music Arts Society (JAMS) to present a series of jazz concerts for the northern communities. The first performance in the series is the sensational jazz vocalist Jane Monheit. Monheit brings her soulful sounds to the Maltz stage on April 10 at 8 pm. "
|
Monheit falls in love every time she sings. You hear it, with style and soul, in the luscious curves of her amazing voice. Hear it with songs like "Embraceable You," "Honeysuckle Rose," "Taking a Chance on Love” and other great American standards.
“I am so excited to partner with such a wonderful organization like the Maltz Jupiter Theatre to bring jazz to the northern county,” said JAMS founder and president, Susan Merritt. “We already have a strong presence in central Palm Beach County, we needed a home to reach the jazz enthusiasts in the north and the Maltz is the perfect fit.”
Monheit is the first in a series of jazz concerts that the two groups will present at the Maltz in 2006. Additional concerts in the series will be announced in the coming weeks.
Tickets for Jane Monheit are $45 for all seats and are available at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Box Office, online at www.jupitertheatre.org or by phone 561-575-2223 or 800-445-1666. The Maltz Jupiter Theatre opened in February, 2004 as a 550-seat, nonprofit community-based regional theatre and is a member of the prestigious League of Resident Theatres.
