MRSA/Staph Rumor Control
provider writes, "MEDIA ADVISORY October 23, 2007 There are NO cases of MRSA/Staph among students in the Palm Beach County Public School District. Rumors have been started about a possible case at Palm Beach Central High School. There are No cases of MRSA at Palm Beach Central or any other school. "
The Palm Beach County Health Department is the authority on communicable and infectious diseases. If a case is ever diagnosed involving the school system, the Health Department, will, as always, advise the school district, using very specific medical protocols, on how to handle the situation as well as the communication about any cases to keep all students and staff safe and to ensure accurate information throughout the county. districtnews@palmbeach.k12.fl.us
